FPA Survey for Proposed Projects in Forestville The FPA would like your opinion on proposed projects which will affect our town, so that we can best reflect and represent your interests. Forestville Planning Association P.O. Box 184 Forestville, Ca 95436 1. The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors (who also sit on the S.C. Water Agency) are considering a proposal to reduce the summer flow of the Russian River by 80%, to improve habitat for endangered salmon (and re-route water to East Santa Rosa and Marin County). A study is underway to determine the validity of this claim, and the impact on other wildlife, local businesses, and the quality of life in this region. A bypass proposal routing Highway 116 along Packinghouse Road to rejoin #116 near Mirabel has been in the Sonoma County General Plan since the 1970s. It is currently slated for construction within the next five years. Overall, how do you feel about the bypass? a) opposed b) in favor c) need more information 3. Are there specific designs for the bypass that would influence your decision? If so, what are they, and how would they influence you? 4. Burbank Development Corporation is planning to build 32 units of affordable housing (homes which will be sold to owners who participate in their home's construction). If Burbank implements this project, do you feel Forestville has its fair share of affordable housing? a) Yes b) No c) need more information 5. Do you have comments about the impact of more affordable housing projects in Forestville (which have been mandated by the County in many unincorporated areas)? 6. Canyon Rock Quarry and Blue Rock Quarry have both applied for expansions. Canyon Rock is asking to expand another 30 acres west along Highway 116, or, alternatively, another 88 acres north along Martinelli Road.
