FPA Board Minutes - April 17, 2005
The board meets once a month at different locations and times. Please check the calendar to see the dates or contact Board Chair
for more information.
Attending:
Sig Anderman, Joan Riback, Anne Greenblatt, Mickey Fernandez, Richard Naegle, Elaine Neiswender, and Lucy Barnett.
1) Moved , seconded, and unanimously approved: Minutes from last Board meeting.
2) Green Valley Creek Project
- Report from Sig and Joan: meeting of Green Valley Creek Project Committee;
- Members have taken on various responsibilities;
- Grant submitted but nothing will happen until end of May;
- State Water Board has extended the permit to do the work for two years;
- Next Committee meeting is 5/1.
- Report from Richard on previous involvement of Forestville Chamber of Commerce; we are in good rapport.
3) Communications
- Report from Communications Committee;
- How best to keep website updated?
- Making of new permanent Town Meeting signs put on hold; Chamber of Commerce shortly will be building poles for banners to be hung over Hwy 116 at East end of Town.
- The Package Store now keeping an FPA folder — to hold info for all interested people.
- Lucy resigned as Volunteer Coordinator; new one needed, as well as greater clarity on website about volunteering.
- Discussion of monthly FPA articles for Gazette; suggested that Board members take turns writing articles;
4) New Board members
Moved, seconded, and unanimously approved: Elaine Neischwender elected as new Board member.

6) Planning Committee
State Water Resources Committee Board meeting in Sacramento next Thursday, 4/21, at 11:00;
No date yet for release of revised EIR for quarry.
Next Board Meeting
Sunday, May 8, 5-6:30PM at Anne and Paul Greenblatt’s house. Followed by no host barbeque.
