FPA Board Minutes - November 3, 2004 The board meets once a month at different locations and times. Please check the calendar to see the dates or contact Board Chair for more information. Location: Elizabeth and Richard Naegle’s home Attending: Elizabeth Naegle, Richard Naegle, Sig Anderman, Joan Riback, David Carpenter, Birgit Carstensen, and Anne Greenblatt (recording) Governance Committee Richard reported IRS & 501(C) 3 status. Permanent status is imminent. Communications Committee Elizabeth reported that the Committee is still without a new Chair, and has decided to focus on its essential task of publicizing Town Meetings. This may well not need formal meetings or a Chair, as each person has definite tasks for each Town Meeting. A proposed simplified flyer was discussed and the wording and layout approved. Birgit will ask Jody Grovier to prepare it for printing and Lucy offered to do it on bright colored paper. The next Committee meeting is tentatively set for January 2005. Members will communicate by e-mail in Jan. to set a date and place. Town Hall Meeting Proposed Agenda Town Meeting - Nov. 13th at 10:00 AM at the Odd Fellow's Hall We fine-tuned the agenda as follows: 10-10:05 - Introduction - Welcome Issues/Update - Joan 10:05-10:15 - Issue update - Mike Reilly 10:15-10:20 - Presentation on Forestville Youth Park 10:20 -10:25 - Forestville Wildlife Habitat Project - Elaine Neiswender 10:25-11:00 - Laura Hall - presentation on town square planning 11:00 - 11:15 - Orin Thiesson's presentation on progress of Forestville Town Square plans 11:15-11:30 - Questions & Answers 11:30 -12:30 – • Community input (facilitated by Joan) • We will break up into small groups to discuss issues. • Each of us to be in a small group to help facilitate (not necessarily be spokesperson) • Each group to report back at end of session. Next Town Meeting Date is set for Jan. 29, 10:00, at the Odd Fellows Hall. Topic is water issues. Sig will invite Bob Raswon to the next Board meeting to help plan the Town Meeting. Next Downtown Planning Committee Meeting Next meeting set for 2nd Tues. of the month - Dec. 14, 2004, 6:00 -7:00 PM, Ramona Crinella's office on First St. Next Planning Committee Meeting Sig will set a date for a Planning Committee meeting on water issues soon.
