You are encouraged to join and participate in all Board Meetings!
Board Members are local citizens, like you, who have a love for Forestville. Some have particular expertise; others bring their enthusiasm and willingness to learn. All are welcome as we seek to be representative of our community. New members are elected by existing Board members.

I am a Registered Nurse at the Sonoma County Indian Health Clinic and am interested in quality of life health care for mind, body, and spirit. I am also an advocate for quality of life issues in Forestville — community dialogue and fun, clean air, clean water, support for our youth, and support for our businesses in Forestville.
Having lived in Forestville for ten years, I continue to love its beauty and diversity — both in nature and in people. My goal is to help maintain and further the quality of life and sense of community that we share even in the midst of inevitable change.
Professionally, I am a psychotherapist and educator who has served on the board of directors of the Guild for Psychological Studies in S.F., The Redwood Men’s Center in Santa Rosa, and the FPA. I am a husband, father, and grandfather whose current passions include community service, singing, poetry, playing the piano, and exploring mythology.
I learned of the FPA by attending one of the early Town Hall Meetings and was impressed with the caliber of people I met there. It was such a good experience, I then volunteered to put up "pink signs" on phone poles to let folks know when a Town Hall meeting was coming up. From there I joined the Board and presently serve as the Chairperson of the Forestville Community Fund Committee. It is gratifying to be part of an organization that cares about community.

My wife, Blake, and I are 16-year residence of Forestville, a place I have wanted to live since I moved to California in the 60’s.
I am an artist/designer and find this area to be creatively stimulating by virtue of its diverse environmental and cultural elements. I love nature and its abundance and revel in canoeing our wonderful Russian River and exploring our fantastic coastline.
I am honored to be a part of the Forestville Planning Committee and the Forestville Community Fund. It gives me a chance to return some of the good that living in Forestville has given me.
I am committed to seeing our town grow without loosing the quiet, peaceful ambiance it has today.
After architecture schooling at Stanford ('64) and U.C. Berkeley ('67) and apprenticeship in San Francisco firms I chose the soul-nurturing environment of Sonoma County to start my own architecture practice. I have designed community-serving buildings such as the Russian River Health Center and a number of organic land-sensitive homes throughout the County. I completed the Sonoma States's Green Building Professional Certificate Program in 2005.
I feel passionate about living more sustainably on our precious Planet Earth. We created a National Wildlife Federation "Habitat Backyard", share a large vegetable garden with our neighbor, and now use a clothes line on sunny days. I feel very grateful that my values are shared by many in this gem of a community called Forestville which I have lived in these last thirty-two years.
