Forestville News & Events, December 2018

For years, Earl Stevens made sure the downtown holiday tree was cut, hauled, put up and decorated so we could celebrate our very own town tree lighting. When an indispensable volunteer like that retires, what happens? The Wood and Trappe families knew what to do. They stepped in and have now made this formidable task a fun family and friends’ event where everyone from their darling toddlers to town patron Hal Wood shows up to make it happen.

Forestville News & Events, October 2017

I got lost in Forestville the other day. I overshot my intended turn. Ended up in an unfamiliar neighborhood. As I drove through I was struck at how different this section of Forestville was from mine.

Some of us live in sweet neighborhoods with sunny gardens. Some of us are on ridgetops overlooking a vineyard, the river, or both. Some of us cling to hillsides hoping our trees hold the soil during winter rains. We all call Forestville home.

It’s interesting to explore our town’s neighborhoods. The more we understand each other, the better community we create.

Report: Fridays in Forestville Fridays in Forestville's second event, celebrating the fall bounty, was held on 10/14 and featured three tasting rooms; Wine Guerrilla, Jigar, and Joseph Jewell where one could enjoy a glass of wine perfectly paired with a light snack from Canneti's Roadhouse Italiana, Backyard Forestville, and Twist Eatery. Wonderful!

Taste Of The Wine Country Craft Fair, 10/4 & 11 The Fair will be on two Tuesdays, October 4 & 11. It will mix with the Forestville Farmers Market, located under the shady oaks in our downtown park with plenty of picnic tables, giant redwood benches, and fresh air! A magical place where you can rest and relax with friends and family. This is a family friendly free event.

The Business Expo is Back in Downtown, 9/20

The Business Expo will be on Tuesday, September 20, 4-7PM, at the Forestville Farmers' Market in the Downtown Park (across from Canneti's Restaurant). Everyone is invited to meet under the shady oaks at this free event, where local business and the Farmers' Market will mingle together for the day.
