FPA Board Minutes - February 27, 2005
The board meets once a month at different locations and times. Please contact Board President or more information.

  1. Ann G can no longer be responsible for Board minutes.

    • Approved: alternative way of recording minutes via agenda and actions;
    • Approved: minutes from last Board meeting.
    • **Moved, seconded and unanimously accepted: The FPA wants to honor and express its deep gratitude to Joan Riback for her years of presidency of the organization. Without her, we would not be what we are now.
  2. FPA sponsorship of Green Valley Creek project

    • Report from Joan.
    • Why did the Chamber of Commerce back out of its sponsorship?
    • Administrative & financial implications for FPA (such as accounting,
    • Taxes, insurance, etc.),
    • Board action to authorize FPA sponsorship of project?
    • **Moved, seconded and unanimously accepted: The FPA agrees to sponsor the Green Valley Creek restoration project effective 2/25/05.
    • Joan Riback and Sig Anderman agreed to head up committee for this project; they will report back to the Board at our next meeting about implications of this project.
  3. Communications

    • Lucy on proposed FPA flyer. **Flyer unanimously accepted.
    • Vesta’s recommendation for permanent signs announcing Town Meetings;
    • **Moved, seconded and unanimously accepted: that Communications Committee create two or three permanent Town Meeting banners; $200 initially budgeted for this.
    • Email blast and school vote?
    • FPA in Chamber of Commerce directory;
    • Sylvia WynnLindeman now writing “Around Forestville” for Russian River
    • Monthly and Sonoma West Times & News; wants FPA input;
    • Richard reports on FPA website.
  4. Evaluation of Town Meeting

    • No report in Gazette; response from Vesta;
    • Volunteer to write up Town Meetings?
    • Sig reports on how he involved volunteers generated by the meeting;
    • *Next Town Meeting when and on what topic?
  5. Planning

    • Update from Sig;
    • Status of Canyon Rock EIR and Blue Rock DEIR?
    • Ideas of how to proceed when Canyon Rock EIR released; there is another public comment period;
    • Mirabel Heights density issue;
  6. Downtown Planning — report from David

  7. Update on Joyful Living Center and Wildlife Habitat project by Elaine Neiswender
